Inside the cabin of this popular vessel, a stunning interior awaits you and your guests. Its smart layout makes the cabin roomy with plenty of seating and large, bright windows pouring in a flood of sunshine. Sliding windows on either side of the cabin let in a fresh summer sea breeze. Sliding glass panel door leads passengers from aft deck to cabin. Located just inside the cabin door, the vessel's easy-to-clean head makes an excellent spot to store damp bathing suits or waders. It has a larger than usual hand sink and converts to a stand-up shower when you need it. Beyond the head is a functional galley with a pressure water sink and two-burner alcohol electric stove which can both be covered to make extra counter space. A microwave is nestled into the wall unit next to convenient storage cubbies. Under the countertop is a nicely-sized refrigerator and two large cupboards, giving you plenty of storage for a full day's worth of meals and snacks and drinks. TV is perched above the galley within perfect view of the convertible port-side dinette. At night, the dinette converts into a single sleeping area or a great lounge space where friends can put their feet up and hang out. Extra cushions store underneath the dinette. Take them out for the night and the storage area becomes another sleeping area for one. Beyond the galley is a comfortable inside helm. It is roomy enough, yet doesn t take too much interior space. The adjustable captain's chair sits at the same height as the dinette seating, so the captain can feel more at one with the guests. In the bow, a large v-berth with storage trays and an air hatch makes a great sleeping area for two. A hanging locker is situated nearby for your convenience. At night, room darkening window curtains keep out the summer's midnight sun so you can sleep soundly.

On Deck

A starboard side aft transom door off a roomy swim deck makes easy work of coming aboard. The deck is sizable, with plenty of room for fishing activities with a few folks. Two downriggers broaden your fishing capabilities and rocket launchers and a barbecue are also mounted on the stern gunwale. A short, quick ladder gets you up to the stunning fly bridge. A comfy captains chair looks over a beautifully-shaped dash for stunning visibility over the bow. Circling the captain is bench seating for four or five friends. Cup holders and deck speakers keep up a party atmosphere. When the bridge is occupied by several adults, this can increase rolling and a feeling of instability on many other boat models. Not so with the Bayliner 288 Discovery, as her wide beam and small bridge offsets this problem.

This Bayliner Discovery is powered by a 2008 Mercruiser MPI 300 horsepower gas engine with an estimated 600 hours on it and a new 2015 Bravo 3 outdrive with about 150 hours on it and new shift and throttle cables. Her previous owner took great care of her, as evidenced by her clean and tidy engine compartment. Trolling is a snap with a 2010 9.9 Mercury Bigfoot 4 stroke kicker with auto-pilot. Bow and stern thrusters by Side Power make for easy docking. She is agile, nimble, responsive and an all-around great performer.

Electronics and Electric

New LED lighting by Rigid has been installed on the fly bridge, bow and deck. For navigation and fish finding, she has everything you need to get to your favorite fishing grounds safely, including a Lowrance GPS plotter/depth sounder, VHF radio, 12V and 110 volt panels and rocker switches in dash.
