BAYLINER 4588 -- THE BEST SELLING 45' YACHT EVER PRODUCED!
One of the great yachts of the 20th century, the Bayliner 4588 is a truly affordable luxury cruiser. If you are looking for a 4588, look no further, this is the one you want!
When it was introduced in 1984, the 4588 Pilothouse Motoryacht was the queen of Bayliner's fleet and to this day remains one of the most popular small motor yachts of all time. It's a great–looking boat with excellent accommodations for liveaboard or long–range cruising.
Her Custom made hardtop, canvas and handsome profile make her a dream come true, and at $138,000, she is well within reach without damaging the pocketbook.
River Dancer features twin Hino 220hp diesels with only 2300 hours that cruise her comfortably at 8 knots burning just 4 gallons per hour, newer Micro Commander electronic wireless controls, new transmissions, shafts and propellers, under hulls. A roomy eminently livable interior with three staterooms, two heads -- each with stall showers, a washer/dryer, generator, reverse cycle heat and air conditioning that renowned Pilothouse! Her handsome Pacific Northwest styling is distinctive, and the 45 Bayliner has long been recognized as an unparalleled value by experienced yachtsmen.
She has an excellent and efficient floor plan. Entering from the cockpit you step into the salon. Galley is adjacent and forward. Four steps up brings you to the large pilothouse with dinette and settee. Forward and down from the salon brings you to the staterooms. The large master stateroom with a walk around center line queen is all the way forward. It has an ensuite private head with shower & tub. The VIP stateroom is at the rear of the companionway, with a pulman style queen. The 3rd guest room/office is just forward of the VIP. It has foldaway bunks and a desk. It functions nicely as an office with the ability to convert quickly to accomodate more guests. The guest head is on the starboard side with an enclosed shower.
Pilothouse motoryachts differ from more traditional motoryachts in that they have a separate, fully enclosed helm raised above deck level, similar to bridges found on large commercial vessels and workboats. The arrangement has the advantage of providing the helmsman an easily controlled environment with heat and air conditioning, a navigation table adjacent to the helm, and ample protected space for sensitive electronics gear. With a second complete flybridge helm, it can legitimately be argued that the 4588 offers the best of both worlds.
