Design Brief

Aft’r Hours is a classic example of this popular 36’ Aft Cabin Motoryacht built by Carver Yachts.  Space is evident in this 2-stateroom yacht, which also features two helms, an open salon area for entertaining, lowered galley with separate dining spaces, and two en suite heads.  The twin 7.4L MerCruiser 454 engines were rebuilt in 2011 and have very low hours.  This yacht has been professionally detailed – she is in turn key condition and is ready for immediate enjoyment.

The spacious salon area offers a comfortable place to lounge and socialize with the added benefit of a lower helm station to allow piloting the boat in all weather.  Windows surround the salon allowing for good visibility.  The main 12V and 115V panels are located beside the helm with numerous options for storage on the opposite side.  The carpet has been recently replaced and hatches in the salon allow for easy access to the engine compartment.

Located just forward of the salon area, the galley offers ample room for gourmet cooking and dining.  The galley features a large Norcold electric fridge, stainless steel sinks, propane stove and oven, and ample storage.  Opposite the galley is a large U-shaped dinette with leather upholstery.  The dinette is perfect for 4-6 adults to share a meal, and also converts into a double berth.  Aft’r Hours is unlike many other Carver 36’s in the fact that she has real teak and holly soles in the galley, a true nautical feature!

Engines and Mechanical

The twin MerCruisers 454 engines were rebuilt by a highly reputable engine shop in 2011 and have only seen 50 hours of use.  The engines are surprisingly quiet while underway and have recently been serviced by Raven Marine in June 2017.  All through hulls have been inspected and serviced, and new black water lines have been installed.
